Stripe Payment Link vs a Greenlit offer

A Payment Link is free. It does not include the scope, the VAT treatment, or a stamp that this deposit is for this job.

Use a Payment Link when the amount is already agreed and you are collecting a known invoice. Do not use it when the client still has a quote in email, a VAT treatment to print, and a 30% deposit that must match the page you sent.

Greenlit charges this offer’s deposit on your Stripe account when they click Pay. After you publish, you cannot change the fee. When Stripe confirms, the page stamps GREENLIT. A Payment Link cannot do that — it is not the offer.

If you only needed a link, stay in Stripe. If the link and the quote have ever disagreed, send a Greenlit offer instead.
